New plans to redevelop part of York’s riverside have been submitted to the City of York council. The plans have been submitted by the Helmsley Group and target the Coney Street riverside. Parts of the plan include increasing the amount of public space, improving accessibility, as well as enhanced building designs.
The plans also include the creation of 250,000 square feet of mixed-use retail, leisure, commercial and residential space, a new riverside walkway and a green and accessible public space.
The Helmsley group is also working with current tenants on Coney Street to relocate them within the existing scheme, should they wish to retain a presence.
