Police officers were out talking to members of the public this Wednesday as part of Project Servator. The scheme is a mix of “unpredictable and highly visible” deployments that aims to deter, detect, and disrupt a range of criminal activity whilst providing a reassuring presence for the public.
This was launched in North Yorkshire five years ago and has since been adopted by other forces around the country. A police spokesperson said, “If you see us out and about, please come and say hello.”
