Rail Minister visits York who are on the short list to be Great British Railways home
The Rail Minister, Wendy Morton visited York yesterday (Monday) to find out more on the City’s bid to be the national headquarters of Great British Railways.
Birmingham, Crewe, Derby, Doncaster and Newcastle have all been shortlisted alongside York and will each have a visit from the Rail Minister.
Wendy Morton said "For each of those towns and cities, it's an opportunity for jobs and skills, to put their town or city on the map."
