Revised plans for a 4,000-home village, Maltkiln, have been submitted to North Yorkshire Council following public feedback.
Developer Caddick Group, having received 96 responses, has adjusted the proposal to include improved safety features, better access, and relocated facilities such as primary schools and the sports hub.
The plans now include pedestrian, cycling, and horse-riding routes between Green Hammerton and Kirk Hammerton.
Despite these adjustments, Green Party councillor Arnold Warneken expressed concerns about the costs and infrastructure needs. Planning permission is still pending, and an examination by the Planning Inspectorate will allow further public input.
