After three months of closure, Rowntree Park is open! See what's on over Easter...
After three months of closure due to floods, Rowntree Park reopened on Monday morning. Friends of Rowntree Park have thanked the council and volunteers for helping with the clear up, but warned to remain vigilant as the area is still saturated with water. A statement was issued late last month explaining the closure, stating that “in 2023, the park was closed 20 percent of the year due to the risk of flooding”.
With the park now back open for business, the Friends of Rowntree Park will be running a range of sessions and activities over the Easter break, including the legendary Easter Eggstravaganza Trail which can be booked on their website.
