A second member of staff at North Yorkshire Police has been sentenced by the criminal court for misuse of police equipment.
Daniel Campbell resigned in October after pleading guilty to computer misuse and perverting the course of justice after sending an email from a force laptop that he was not authorised to use in June.
After an investigation carried out by North Yorkshire Police’s Professional Standards and CID departments, he received an eight month prison sentence and a year long suspension last week. Daisy Pennock had already been found guilty of seven charges under the Computer Misuse Act only the week before for making unauthorised searches in police computer systems in 2021 and 2022.
