As part of his general election campaign, Sir Kier Starmer visited the Germany Beck development in Fulford last Thursday, ahead of the Question Time leaders debate special in York.
Sir Kier Starmer criticised the 650-home estate due to delays which has led to a 15-year wait for construction.
He also recognized the need for greater landlord regulation on short term lets in York city centre, which have reduced the supply of housing stock for residents.
