At the University of York, the statue of the late, great, Indian runner mallard crossbred Duck known as Long Boi has been damaged.
Long boi was a rather tall duck, standing at 70cm who gained internet fame in 2021.
In May 2023, long boi was presumed dead after going missing from his home at the Heslington Fish Pond.
In celebration of his short but memorable life, Long Boi’s legacy had been eternalised by the unveiling of a bronze statue live on BBC Radio 1.
Yet, the statue has been reportedly damaged, with York University investigating the incident.
