The popular York Christmas Venue Thor’s Tipi has had to replace its tent after a hole was ripped in it because of storm Debbi.
A strong gust of wind during the storm ripped a hole in the roof of the tipi in the grounds of York’s Principal Hotel at around 6pm on Monday, when the venue was closed, meaning the damage didn't pose a threat to any customers.
Despite the wind tearing a hole in the ceiling, the rest of the structure remained intact.
Had the venue been open, everyone inside would have had to evacuate.
The tent has now been fixed and furniture has been rearranged so the cosy Christmas tipi will open again tonight.
