Potential further strikes for teachers in York are on the table after a recent pay offer rejection.
Potential further strikes for teachers in York are on the table after a recent pay offer rejection.
The National Education Union (NEU) was offered a pay increase of 4.5% starting next year with a £1,000 one off payment this year from the government which the NEU deemed insulting.
After a poll 98% of members voted to turn down the deal which would result in further strike days on April the 27th and May the 2nd.
The strikes have previously caused full school closure for 4 local York primary schools including Clifton Green Primary School and Yearsley Grove Primary School with others having partial closure.
