Three fire crews were called to a fire at a York shopping centre on Wednesday evening. Initial reports of a fire in a guttering of a store meant Acomb, York, and Huntington crews were called to the Clifton Moor Retail Park at 8.43 pm.
A North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “Upon arrival, crews were confronted with a fire affecting a wheelie bin which was under a rear overhanging of a commercial unit. The fire caused damage only to the rubbish. “The cause has been established as deliberate.”
