Caroline Turner, a retired North Yorkshire police officer and CEO of Creased Puddle ltd, a Neurodiversity training and Consultancy Company based in Bishopthorpe, has been nominated for the Entrepreneur of Excellence Award in the 2024 National Diversity Awards.

The founder and managing director of a York based Neurodiversity Company has been nominated for A National Diversity Award.

Caroline Turner A Retired North Yorkshire police officer who created the first Neurodiversity support group in British Policing has been nominated for the Entrepreneur of Excellence Award in the 2024  National Diversity Awards.

Caroline is the CEO of Creased Puddle ltd, a Neurodiversity training and Consultancy Company that she created in 2018 that is now a globally recognised centre of expertise for Neurodiversity.

Creased Puddle define Neurodiversity as “the acceptance that everybody’s brain works differently”. 

Neurodiversity embraces differences in brain function and behaviors as a natural  variation rather than viewing them as wrong or problematic and includes Nerurdivergent conditions such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Autism and Dyslexia.

The National Diversity Awards, which will take place in Liverpool in October, is the UK’s most prestigious diversity event and celebrates the excellent achievements of grass-root communities and shines a light on the work of some of the UK’s most inspirational diversity champions, giving some well-deserved recognition for their dedication and hard work.

In 2023 the Celebrity of the Year Award was given to author, documentary maker, model and proud ambassador for the National Autistic Society, Christine McGuinness in recognition for her work with the charity to help raise money, awareness and understanding of Autism. 

The Entrepreneur of Excellence Award recognises individuals who have created a viable business, showcasing entrepreneurship and innovation.

Caroline’s nomination recognises her drive and passion for working alongside organisations to further the understanding of Neurodiverse conditions such as ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dysgraphia, dyscalculia and Tourette's syndrome.
