Celebrity chef Tommy Banks, who had his Michelin stars renewed this week for both Roots York and Black Swan, Oldstead, is opening a brand-new pub. It’s been revealed that the new North Yorkshire pub, the Abbey Inn, will be opening in Byland, overlooking the gothic ruins of Byland Abbey.
Tommy announced on his Instagram that it’ll be opening on the 26th of May, and described it as “a relaxed country pub with rooms”. He said, “we can’t wait to open our doors in two months with a seriously tasty, seasonal pub menu, a great drinks list and a gorgeous venue for relaxing.
