York has recorded its hottest day of the year so far, with temperatures reaching 26 degrees Celsius yesterday afternoon.
The hot weather will continue throughout the week with highs of 25 degrees today, 22 tomorrow and 17 on Friday.
While there is no official extreme weather warning, the NHS recommends that everyone remains hydrated, seek shade, wear suncream, a hat and light clothes.
