Blake Street and High Ousegate face bollard closures for up to eight weeks as the final stages of work to install anti-terrorism bollards starts early in the New Year.
Blake Street will close to all traffic, while pavements will close in two phases. The junction of Parliament Street and High Ousegate will also close to traffic as sliding bollards are installed alongside the fixed ones already in place.
York city Council say access to businesses and properties will remain open while work takes place, pathways will remain largely unaffected and alternative access for vehicles to Blake Street will be provided via Goodramgate and Spurriergate, or High Petergate.
