If you were walking through the centre of York this weekend, you may have been greeted by a rather strange sight, as a horde of Vikings marched through the city.
On Saturday, the group met up in Dean’s Park next to York Minster, before setting off on their march at around 1pm for one of the main closing events of the Jorvik Viking Festival.
Many of the Vikings taking part hailed from outside of York, with some originating from Reading, Cheltenham and even Canada.
