The oldest horticultural society in the world will hold its annual autumn show in a York village hall, more than 250 years after it was formed.
The oldest horticultural society in the world will hold its annual autumn show in a York village hall, more than 250 years after it was formed. The Ancient Society of York Florists show will be held at Wigginton Recreation Hall on Saturday 10th of September.
Show secretary Ann Simpson said the show would include a range of flower classes for roses, fuchsias, and geraniums, as well as pot plants and fruit classes, floral art, baking, and photography. The show will run from 11 am until 3 pm and admission is £1.
