Amber Sykes, a 22-year-old abstract artist and exhibition curator based in York, is proud to announce her latest curated exhibition, showcasing the eclectic and vibrant talent of York-based artists.

The exhibition will run from 30th August to 6th September, with an  open night on 30th August 18.00-20.00. Featuring artists include: Nicola Glover, Nik Pickard, Michael Grayshon, Yvonne Costello, Justine Baulk, Caitlyn Matthews, and Amber Sykes.

Amber, who has dedicated countless hours to bringing this exhibition to life, invites the public to explore and purchase unique works of art that highlight what York's creative community has to offer. This event is a rare opportunity for art enthusiasts to discover the city's emerging and established artists, all in one place.

The open night promises to be a memorable evening, featuring complimentary drinks, a professional photographer and videographer to capture the event, and the chance to meet the artists and purchase their artworks. Attendees will also have the opportunity to network with a diverse group of individuals, including art collectors, local influencers, and professionals from various industries.

“This exhibition is not just about showcasing art; it’s about celebrating the rich artistic culture of York and surrounding areas,” says Amber Sykes. “I’m excited to provide a platform for local and fiercely talented artists to share their work with a broader audience. Creatively stretching the artists and inspiring attendees is the primary mission of this exhibition.”

The exhibition will be held in the upstairs of Fabrication Gallery, 19 Coney Street YO1 9QL, and will be open to the public daily from 31st August - 6th September. The artwork on display will be available for purchase, offering visitors the chance to take home a piece of York’s artistic talent.
