B&Q’s search and purchase data has shown that York is top of the league in searching for Xmas trees in the run up to Christmas - with only 45 days to go!
There was a 625% increase in searches in York area last week and real trees are the preferred purchase. Leeds, York and Sheffield were the biggest purchasor of real trees last year in the UK.
But there is a bigger trend overall with 9 out of 13 cities purchasing artificial trees last year and the same is expected this year, although a 170% increase is favouring prelit artificial trees.
