From Thursday August 1st to Sunday 4th August York Mansion House is hosting the York Georgian Festival.
Following their successful pioneering of the event last year, the festival returns with a range of events showcasing York’s vast history from the Georgian Era.
Day one includes a showcase by author Terry Deary, discussing his new book ‘A History of Britain in Ten Enemies’, a must see for fans of CBBC’s Horrible Histories.
The festival also includes the York Georgian Ball at the Grand Assembly Rooms; an evening featuring a two-course meal, Georgian dress code as well as a dance mistress on hand to teach attendees a few Georgian dance moves. Click here for the full festival programme!
