The White Swan Inn has closed suddenly after it has emerged that it has been sold.
A pub near York has shut suddenly for second time in 18 months. The White Swan Inn is on the A19 at Deighton, about five miles south of York city centre, near Escrick. It has now closed, and it has emerged that the pub has been sold. It previously shut down without notice back in January 2023, but by March 2023 it was back open again under new ownership. However, after being put up for sale, the pub shut again this time possibly for good. The pub shut for the final time last Sunday at 6pm.
