The Ebor Inn looks to finally be reopening after shutting its doors more than three years ago.

A York village pub looks to finally be reopening after shutting its doors more than three years ago. The Ebor Inn at Bishopthorpe closed following the death of the pub’s landlord, Gordon Watkins in February 2021. Since his death, the brewery advertised on Gumtree for a couple to come and manage the pub.

At last, it seems that new managers have been found to run the business. A planning application was submitted to City of York Council on the 13th of February by construction company R N Wooler. The construction company say that they have been asked by the brewery to ready the pub for its new managers as it is due to be reopened in the next few weeks.
