The School of Education, Language and Psychology at York Saint John University is preparing to give out free community language classes. These are for families in York and surrounding areas to help protect heritage languages. The classes will be offered to children aged 5 to 16 and will take place at the University's Lord Mayors Walk Campus.
Potential languages already on the list include Japanese, Korean, French, and Hungarian although more can be offered depending on demand. Anyone interested in enrolling their children can fill out a questionnaire on the YSJ website.
