A ballot has shown unanimous support for members of Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) GMB union to vote on striking over pay.
There are around 1,500 YAS members and 90% were in favour of strike action following the governments 4% payrise which they say in real terms is a pay cut.
GMB official Deanne Ferguson said: “Ambulance staff should not be worrying about how they’ll heat their homes this winter or feed their families, whilst carrying out a crucial service across our communities.”
