The 20-year old, who arrived last year after progressing through Hull KR’s Academy and into the reserves, has agreed a new deal, thanks to the support of Squadbuilder.
Potter made two appearances in a York shirt last year, firstly in the narrow 22-18 home defeat by Widnes, and then at Odsal against Bradford Bulls, where he kicked four goals in the 36-28 defeat.
Head coach, Mark Applegarth described Potter as "another great youngster in our squad".
