The search is on to seek out York’s inspirational young Asians. The fourth year of the Yorkshire Asian Young Achiever Awards is just around the corner and organisers are urging those from the city to enter. The annual awards celebrate individuals of South Asian heritage who have overcome disadvantages and have broken down barriers to progress.
The deadline for entries is the 19th of June and it’s open to anyone between the ages of 16-30, of South Asian heritage and who was born or lives here in Yorkshire. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to a gala dinner at Cedar Court Hotel and the awards will be presented by stand-up comedian and presenter Noreen Khan.
