York City were able to pick up a hard-earned point against Maidenhead United on Saturday in the National League. Alex Woodyard picked up a straight red card in the 19th minute meaning the Minstermen were forced to play the majority of the 90 minutes with 10 men.
However, a goal from Callum Howe in the 86th minute meant the game ended 1-1. This result puts York City at 19th in the National League just one point above the relegation places. York City are next in action on Friday when they take on League One side Wigan Athletic in the second round of the FA Cup.
