Tough-tackling Greaves, 22, initially joined the Minstermen on loan from Doncaster Roves in February 2022 and since making the permanent switch in the summer, he has made six appearances this campaign.
The midfielder will benefit from getting more game time with a Spennymoor Town side currently sitting 11th in National League North, seven points behind Scarborough who occupy the last play-off spot.
