York City FC are pleased to welcome back goalkeeper Maison Campbell who joins from AFC Telford United.

York City FC are pleased to welcome back goalkeeper Maison Campbell who joins from AFC Telford United.

The 19-year-old first joined the club ahead of the 2021/22 season following his release from League Two side Mansfield Town, but left City at the end of the season before joining the Bucks.

The teenage shot stopper featured on the bench at Mansfield on several occasions and served as understudy to Pete Jameson during the Minstermen’s National League North promotion last season.

Campbell returns to York on a deal until the end of the season, providing more cover and competition between the sticks.

On capturing Campbell, manager David Webb said: “I’m delighted to welcome Maison back to the club.

“He will offer healthy competition for the goalkeeper position.

“Staff at the club talk highly of Maison and I’m sure he will relish the chance to be back at York City FC.”

The deal is subject to National League and FA approval
