York City FC are delighted to announce that Nathan Thomas has agreed a new contract until the end of the season subject to National League and FA approval.

York City FC are delighted to announce that Nathan Thomas has agreed a new contract until the end of the season subject to National League and FA approval.

The winger signed a short-term deal with the Minstermen in October after a period training with the team and made an instant impact, coming off the bench to assist a late equaliser on debut against Dagenham & Redbridge.

Thomas, 28, came into the club after a break from football following injury and his exit from then-Scottish Premiership side Hamilton Academical.

Having worked back to fitness with York City, Thomas has started to see more minutes and contributed with goals and assists in recent fixtures against Woking and Blyth Spartans.

On extending Thomas’ contract, manager David Webb said: “We’re delighted that Nathan will be staying with us until the end of the season.

“He has been an important part of the group, not just as a player, but also as a person. We have been impressed with him since coming into the club and feel that he could play a key role in the remainder of the season.”
