York City FC are pleased to announce that left-back Scott Barrow has signed a new deal with the Minstermen to remain with the club for the 2023/24 campaign.
The 34-year-old missed last season through an injury sustained in the 2021/22 National League North play-off final, but remained with the club and worked in off-field roles while working on his recovery.
Barrow has returned to training for pre-season, and he will hope to build on his half-century of appearances for the Minstermen in the upcoming National League season.
After joining the club from Gateshead in the summer of 2020, Barrow became a key part in the 2021/22 play-off season, before being forced off through injury in the 2-0 promotion-winning victory over Boston United.
On signing a new deal, Barrow said: “I’m delighted. It’s been a tough 12 or 13 months.
“It’s good to be back, I didn’t want my play-off game to be my last game at York, and I’m just glad I got this over the line.”
The Deal is subject to National League and FA approval.
