York City can confirm that striker Cedric Main has departed permanently for an undisclosed fee, joining National League North side Darlington FC.

Initially signing in the summer from Blyth Spartans following the expiry of his contract, striker Cedric Main returned to former club Blyth in August, where he went on to feature 16 times.

The 26-year-old netted nine goals and provided six assists during his time back at Croft Park before returning to the Minstermen in January.

York City wishes Cedric all the best in his future endeavours at Blackwell Meadows.

Subject to league and FA approval.
