By Chantele Hodson

The 22-year-old winger joins us from National League South side Eastbourne, a club he has spent his full career with up from U18 level.

Gravata made his Eastbourne debut in the curtailed 2020/21 season as a substitute during a 3-1 Emirates FA Cup win against Sheppey United.

His first National League South appearance came just days later, off the bench again in a 1-1 draw against Chelmsford City.

He also briefly spent time on loan at Hendon during the following season, where he managed a single goal in the seven matches he appeared in.

Since then, he has gone on to play just over 100 games for Borough, establishing himself as a fans’ favourite.

The youngster’s big breakthrough campaign came in 2022/23, totalling 46 league appearances and chipping in with nine goals as Eastbourne narrowly missed out on the playoffs.

This term, Gravata has managed three goals across 31 games, and makes the move to the Minstermen aiming for a positive end to the season as we head into the final nine games.

Gravata is naturally a left winger, but can also play on the right or as an attacking midfielder, providing some good versatility going forward for Adam Hinshelwood.

Welcome to York, Leone!

Subject to league and FA approval.
